September 2024 Update!

Hello Dungeonistas!
Good news, bad news. The good news is twofold -- the Dungeon Date Delves books have been printed and are on the way to Nerdy Pup HQ, and our final calculations for shipping are complete! The bad news is that a family health emergency has put me behind by 9 calendar days, and it is having a ripple effect on the remaining timeline for the project.
Here's an overview of our timeline. I've had to push back the delivery dates for the last three items because the lost 1.5 weeks (changed dates in pink). I'll go into more detail below.
Why the delayed timeline? Unfortunately, I was unavailable for 9 days straight while dealing with an out-of-town family illness. Fortunately, I had already submitted the print order for Delves and submitted the pledge manager for final approval before that period. Backerkit responded with corrections needed for the pledge manager, which I am finally available to resolve this week. I need to coordinate with Backerkit on a few details so it may take a few business days to fully resolve. I still want to give backers 30 days to complete their orders, so we won't be closing the pledge manager until 30 days after it opens. This puts us into early November to begin shipping orders.
Likewise, I intended to use the last week or so of September to finalize the layout for all PDF rewards. The stretch goal roll-n-write sheets need one more art pass to make them look nice, and all sheets need to be formatted for both A4 and US Letter, as well as low-ink option. I will complete that work in the next couple of weeks, aiming to have everything complete by mid-October.
Dungeon Date Delves - Print Run
I took a bit of extra time in August to evaluate print options for Dungeon Date Delves, and decided to print with Print Ninja instead of Mixam as originally planned. I have used Print Ninja for both of my previous ttrpg projects, the quality is excellent for small press, and they provide in-depth proofing and review before your order is sent to print. The end result will be a slightly higher quality book for approximately the same manufacturing cost. I'm expecting the full order of books to arrive in the next week or two.
Other Physical Rewards
All other physical rewards are on-hand now, including a fresh palette of Dungeon Date card games!
Shipping
Our final calculation for shipping fees is complete, and I'm pleased to share that the final cost will be slightly cheaper for most backers than our original estimate from 2023. For instance, most US backers should be around $14 for just the card game, vs. $16 in our original estimate. You will be able to see the fee for your order once our pledge manager opens. I am aiming to have the pledge manager open on Monday, October 7th. You will have 30 days to complete your cart. I'll post another project update once the pledge manager is open!
Thanks so much for your patience and understanding of the delays to the project. I hate to push dates back when we are so close to complete. Suffice to say this has been one of the most challenging weeks of my life, and I am grateful to be able to get back to work on this project and keep it moving forward.
Stay safe and well!
AUGUST 2024 UPDATE!!!

Hello Dungeonistas!
Quick update on all things Dungeon Date. We've made great progress on the Dungeon Date: Delves rulebook, including a brand new cover design and completion of all remaining layout tasks for the book.
I printed a sample copy of the book to get an idea of how it will turn out before pulling the trigger on the full print run. Just a few fixes needed but overall I'm pretty happy with it!
Here's where we stand with remaining tasks for the project:
Work continues on the Monster Valentines. I will be ordering the print run of the RPG rulebook in the next week or so. I'm currently finalizing shipping fees for backer fulfillment, and will have those added to our Backerkit pledge manager in the next week or two. I was hoping to have the pledge manager open in August, but it's looking more like September now. Either way, we'll give everyone ample time to complete their orders, and we are still on track for October fulfillment. The last big piece will be a final round of polish on the roll-n-write sheets and rpg character sheets and such in September.
That's all for now, stay tuned for an announcement when the pledge manager opens!
July 2024 Update!!!

Hello Dungeonistas!
It's July and we have some great progress to report on all things Dungeon Date. June was busy month for me -- progress continues for both Dungeon Date Delves and Roll with Style.
Here's a quick overview of our timeline and progress:
Rules revisions are complete, and I have moved on to final layout for the ttrpg rulebook.
Below are a few sample spreads of the final layout. I did a minor overhaul of the layout and completed a bunch of tasks needed for the final book.
A few tasks remain for the Dungeon Date Delves rulebook. I plan to complete the remaining tasks in the next week. We take a week or so to proofread and review the final rules doc before moving on to printing the book with Mixam. The pdf version of the rules will be complete simultaneously with sending files to our printer. I'll endeavor to release pdfs to you all shortly after we go to print.
Remaining Delves tasks:
Thanks again for supporting our games! We are getting close to final delivery. None of these games would exist without your interest, input, and enthusiasm! :)
June 2024 Update!!!

Hello Dungeonistas!
It's June, it's summertime, and we continue to work away at the final polish for all things Dungeon Date. Here's a quick look at our project timeline:
Enamel Pins!
Enamel pins have been ordered AND manufactured! The turnaround for these was super quick! Our Dungeoneer backers will be rolling in style with this fangy little vampire friend!
The minimum order quantity left us with extra pins! If there's interest, I may offer extra pins as an add-on in the pledge manager, as supplies allow.
Monster Valentines
I've acquired some nice paper supplies for Dungeoneer valentines, and have started work on those rewards. Thanks to all the backers that replied to their surveys -- there's just a couple left that I'll need to hear back from before September. I'm pleased to say you requested a nice variety of monsters. Can't wait to get them out to you!
Dungeon Date Delves Progress
Rules review is complete. I am currently working on a list of art assets to include in the final rulebook. I am also considering adding a bit more page decoration to add a bit more polish to the book. I should have some sample pages to share in July, with a final draft of the rules ready to share before we go to print in August.
Dungeon Date Roll-n-Write Progress
No further progress to report on the roll-n-write sheets. I will be giving the sheets a final layout pass in August to clean up typos and polish the look of each sheet.
That's all for now. Stay cool and enjoy your summer!
May 2024 Update!!!

Hello Dungeonistas!
Just a quick update on the progress for Dungeon Date Delves and Dungeon Date: Roll with Style! Our final playtesting is complete, and we are now proceeding with putting together rewards, as well as finalizing the rules and layout for both games based on feedback.
Here's a quick look at our timeline and progress:
I'm working on finalizing the enamel pin design for Dungeoneer pledge level and we'll have that out to our manufacturer next week. I'm also shopping for paper materials to construct the handmade paper valentines. Really looking forward to making those! A survey will go out next week for Dungeoneer level backers to choose what monster they would like for their cards.
Final versions of the Roll-n-Write sheets will take some time over the next couple of months. I'll share progress in future updates as I work to refine the sheets. As always, feedback is appreciated at any stage of the process.
I am really looking forward to incorporating more artwork into the Delves book in the next round of revisions. I'm considering mocking up a fresh cover using other assets we have available, rather than using the same cover art for both the card game and rpg. I'll share some mockups when I think I've got something so you can chime in on which you'd prefer!
Other Nerdy Pup News
Just wanted to share that our other Kickstarter from April, Super Squad High, successfully funded! It's a year out from release, development was completed last year, and it slots neatly into our timeline for our Dungeon Date games. I'm really proud of this game, it tells a richly thematic story through game mechanics every time you play. I don't think there's anything else like it. Thanks to everyone here that backed! If you missed it and you like our other games with fashion and relationship themes, check it out! We're currently taking late pledges.
